Delivery

Wherever possible, we attempt to deliver all of our orders in our own vehicles. We provide a 2 man UK delivery service to make your delivery as safe and convenient as possible.

If there are any delays associated with your order, you will be contacted as soon as possible, typically within a couple of days, to alert you to the situation. Please note that most of the products we provide are ordered direct from our suppliers, who from time to time will run low on certain items. Should you need your products by a certain date, we would advise that you call us directly on our sales line 0800 368 8464 to enable our sales representatives to check stock availability for your desired items.

When your specified items arrive in our warehouse, you will be contacted to arrange a convenient delivery date. Once the delivery date has been arranged, we will contact you the day before to arrange a suitable delivery time for the item. We offer timed delivery slots of 2 hour intervals, with the addition of drivers calling to notify you of their impending arrival.

Delivery
We offer free shipping on all products to Mainland England, Wales and Scotland. Free shipping excludes the Isles, Northern Ireland, and the Highlands. Please contact us for delivery quotes to the Scottish Highlands, UK Islands, Northern Ireland and other non-mainland postcodes (see below):

All Items must be signed for and inspected immediately. Any missing or damaged items must be reported within 48 hours, so even if you do not intend to use your item straight-away, please thoroughly inspect the item upon delivery. This enables us to make damage claims where necessary with either the courier or manufacturer, as we can attest to it arriving in a sub-standard condition, rather than the damage being caused later.

Our estimated delivery times vary according to the type of product or service ordered. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the delivery process.

Delivery Notification for Large Items
We request that our driver calls every customer approx. 30 minutes prior to delivery. This is, however, a courtesy and cannot be guaranteed as the drivers are not permitted to use the phone whilst driving. Please ensure that you have supplied your correct and current mobile number so our transport company can text delivery updates and call you on the day to let you know when they are on their way.

Accessibility
Please inform us of any difficulties regarding access to the property, such as narrow roads or a flight of steps. If you have ordered a large television, please check the dimensions to ensure it will fit into your property, considering both external and internal doors.

Damages
If your item arrives damaged, please highlight this when you sign the driver’s paperwork or handheld device. We ask customers take several photos of the damaged item, including the packaging, and provide details of how the item may have become damaged (e.g. poor handling). This information should then be emailed to support@pvdirect.co.uk so that we may commence the appropriate claims procedure.

Recycling
We can recycle your old appliance for a flat-rate £20 fee, and will transport the appliance to an approved recycling centre. If we have been commissioned to install a new appliance, we will disconnect the old one. If we are only commissioned to deliver the new appliance, the customer is responsible for disconnecting the old appliance.

Fraud Prevention & Security
We reserve the right to elect not to deliver an order if there are grounds to believe an address is not secure, for example if it is a communal postal address or P.O. box. If we identify an inappropriate address has been provided, you will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss alternatives. We have additional procedures in place to ensure our customers are protected from online fraud. You may, therefore, be contacted before your delivery date to complete additional checks and verify your information. We may temporarily place orders on hold if we are unable to reach you, so please ensure suitable telephone number(s) are provided.
